Fashion Editorial // BIRTHDAY BEHAVIOR 🎈
I had the absolute privilege to work with an AMAZING team of women last Saturday.
I’ve been experimenting a whole lot more with Fashion Photography. This was my third Fashion shoot where I did all the Photography and Wardrobe Styling on my own. I’m really developing a love for Fashion Photography and I know I have found my niche.
For me, it’s all about the process of trying new concepts I can implement throughout my workflow as a creative. Plus it gives me the opportunity to collaborate with talented Hair Stylists, Make-up Artists and awesome models of all ethnicities.
This concept started simply because I had an idea to create a birthday themed Fashion shoot. Since it is super cold outside, shooting indoors was really my only option.
The last couple of shoots I did were in studio, shot against a white seamless backdrop, so I knew I wanted to switch it up. Demi Studio was the perfect location. Shooting with two models was also something that was relatively new for me, as I generally shoot models solo.
There were so many variables to consider when planning this shoot. Two models with four looks meant 8 outfits, 8 make-up looks and lots of little details to stay on top of throughout the shoot. Plus we only had 3 hours to execute everything!
Planning took a few weeks as I had to source props, gather my team and shop for clothing, accessories and shoes. I want to say a huge THANK YOU to Plato’s Closet Brampton! It’s honestly one of my favourite places to shop and they always have the coolest things. If you are looking for a great place to buy clothing for yourself or for your shoots be sure to check them out!
I’m so happy with the outcome of this shoot as it was published in Horizont Magazine. Got another image published on the cover.
What I learned most from this shoot was as a creative we should NEVER place limits on ourselves. Get out there and make things happen. Not everyone will believe in your vision but when you find the group of people who do, the possibilities are endless.
THANK YOU to my amazing team who helped make this shoot possible!
